Local sounds are sounds that are specific and contained to a relatively small area. They create an accoustic community that's characteristic for New York by virtue, but only some New Yorkers will know about them and relate to them. Local sounds give you a glimps into the everyday experiences and sound-life of the population within those few blocks.
